Canna Claus & The Spirit of Giving

Ever wonder why jolly Ol’ St. Nick is always smiling? It’s because he owns the North Pole Collective and cultivates his own cannabis strains for adults (an indoor grow to be sure) named after his famous reindeer team:

Blitzen — A Sativa with an intense THC potency just like the name implies. Use caution.

 — A passionate Indica that gets you feeling warm-hearted and hugs abound.

Comet — A Hybrid great for energy and creativity that sends you into orbit but is not as strong as Blitzen.

Dancer — This Sativa strain gets you moving but keeps you focused on the flight plan.

Dasher — The embodiment of euphoria, it is Sativa strain and a strong anti-depressant.

Donner — An Indica strain that provides a relaxed, full body effect to address pain, stress, and anxiety.

Prancer — Need to be playful, creative, and feeling like you need some Karaoke? This Sativa strain is for you.

Vixen — Of course, Vixen is a Sativa dominant Hybrid that puts you in a naughty, amorous mood.

Rudolph — This strain was invented in the mid-20th Century. If you’re feeling socially awkward and not fitting in at the holiday party, this Hybrid strain will light your way and get you to the head of the herd.

Like many cannabis businesses, Canna Claus Industries, Inc., enforces a strict no-use cannabis policy while on the job, especially during sleigh-flights. Exceptions are of course made for medicinal use, and the elf contracts for North Pole Toys (a union workshop) permit microdosing as needed during shifts. To be exempt from the no-use policy, a cannabis medical card is required at the North Pole Collective and taxes are capped at 10 percent. Medical cannabis cards signed by the misfit elf Hermey, the aspiring North Pole dentist, are not permitted.

Cannabis Christmas Gifts for Adults

The spirit of Christmas embodies hope, peace, and joy for people around the world. While the holiday season may at times seem overly commercialized, at its core, giving gifts to family and friends is a way of expressing your love for them. Gifts need not be extravagant to carry meaning or to make a difference in people’s lives, and medical cannabis can be a natural, welcome part of your celebration. It encompasses health and wellness, and we’re happy to provide some gift ideas from our Three Wells partners.

The Releaf Balms, Tinctures, Patches, and Bath Soaks from Papa & Barkley, provide relaxation and stress relief after days of competitive holiday shopping. Dr. Kerklaan Therapeutics topical products help your body fight skin irritation and pain. Dr. K’s Sleep products provide the rest your body needs to recover from the many holiday and office parties you may attend. Dixie’s THC-infused Gummies, Mints, Twists, Drops, and Drinks provide convenient ways to medicate to help you more fully enjoy the holiday season. KIVA Confections cannabis-infused Chocolate Bars, Mints, and Espresso Beans are a delicious way to medicate. Wana Brand’s all natural Gummies come in a variety of flavors and THC to CBD ratios that are vegan and gluten free. Their WanaCapsXR extended release capsules have formulations ranging from high THC to high CBD ratios that provide effective and reliable cannabis administration.

Cannabis Stocking Stuffers for Adults

There are a variety of ways to consume cannabis, and most delivery methods make for perfect stocking stuffers. Vaping is becoming more and more popular and vape devices fit nicely into a Xmas stocking. If your adult friends and family prefer smoking, pre-rolled joints provide a hassle-free way of consuming raw flower. If there’s a cook in your life wanting to use cannabis-infused oils and balsamic vinegars, explore some cooking products. On the other hand, pre-made baked goods for adults are an excellent option to consider. In many families, pets are part of the Christmas celebration. You can read more about CBD for pets here, and explore products on the Three Wells Pet page.

Can I Mail Cannabis Gifts?

In a word, no. Even if cannabis is legal in your state or is legal in the state to which you are sending the package, cannabis remains illegal at the federal level. This automatically rules out using the U.S. Postal Service. The punishment for mailing “drugs” through the U.S. mail can include up to a year in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. It is also ill-advised to use private carriers like FedEx and UPS as it violates their respective terms of service. In addition, USPS, FedEx, and UPS employees are offered a “reward” of up to $50,000 from the federal government for information about persons mailing illegal substances. To sum it up, being prosecuted for mailing cannabis may result in Canna Claus delivering an expensive lump of coal to you in a federal jail cell. That’s not exactly keeping with the holiday spirit.

Is Flying with Cannabis Legal?

If you’re traveling with gifts during the holiday, remember that cannabis is illegal at the federal level and it’s a risk to carry it with you on a flight. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) permits individuals 21 years of age or older to possess up to 28.5 grams of marijuana and 8 grams of concentrated marijuana for personal consumption. However, and that’s a big HOWEVER, TSA (federal employees) may turn you over to LAX Airport Police. The hitch is that LAX police officers will not arrest you for cannabis possession if you’re compliant with California state law. Logan Airport in Boston permits cannabis on the premises similar to LAX, but surprisingly, Denver airport does not. So, while Canna Claus is not subject to federal law or TSA screenings, everyone else should take heed.

Happy Holidays and a Joyful New Year

No matter how you celebrate the holidays we hope that everyone in the Three Wells community and your pets have a wonderful holiday. If cannabis for adults plays a role in your home, use it safely and of course keep it away from the prying eyes, the curious hands of children, and the paws of your pets. Please share your holiday stories on our social channels as we’d love to hear from you and your holiday experience.
