Going Green on St. Patrick’s Day

Read Time: 1:00 Min.

A leprechaun and the four leaf clover are the age-old symbols of St. Patrick’s Day. If I recall correctly, in addition to wearing a hat, vest, and knickers, a leprechaun carries a shamrock and smokes a pipe. But have you ever wondered what’s in that pipe? Could it be something from another holiday icon, Canna Claus? Perhaps not, so in honor of St Patrick’s Day, we humbly suggest he try the following flower strains:

Anything from the Emerald Triangle in Northern California

Emerald OG

Four Leaf Clover (a hybrid, not actual clover)

Green Crack

Green Haze

Lucky Charms

Pot of Gold

Rainbow Kush

Shamrock OG

U2 Kush

$ave Some Green

Check with your local dispensary to see what kind of St. Paddy’s Day Specials may be happening. Ask if there is a loyalty program to reward faithful customers, as, after all, the holiday started as a religious holiday. If you’re celebrating on the Emerald Isle itself, keep in mind that currently, Ireland has no official medical marijuana program.

Green Goodies

Thinking about brewing up some POTential infusions? How about CBD or THC infused edibles such as green eggs and ham? Irish stew made with green cabbage, potatoes, and corned beef? Cannabis cookies with a cannabis leaf decoration? Our friends at CBDaily Eats have some amazing oils and vinaigrettes to kick things up a notch. Also, check out Pinterest for creative recipe ideas. When it comes to edibles, remember the golden rule to go low and start slow.

Proper Attire Not Required

If you’re feeling on the jubilant or humorous side of the celebration, consider ordering a special t-shirt from CafePress. Amazon has t-shirts for sale as well.

We hope you enjoy St. Patrick’s Day in a safe and happy way, and that you find your own Pot ‘o Gold at the end of the rainbow. Post pictures or tell us your St. Paddy’s Day story on our social channels.
